LOVELY SEAT – one of two self-contained, beautifully appointed cottages in the little hamlet of Angram in Swaledale. Perched on a hillside, Lovely Seat enjoys breathtaking, panoramic views of Upper Swaledale.
Lovely Seat and its sister cottage Kisdon both sleep two people.
Sleeps two, no smoking. Private balcony with stunning views. Cosy wood burner. Welcome up to two medium sized dogs at no extra charge. Super fast wifi. Off road parking.

Lovely Seat is named after the hill it overlooks and enjoys a fabulous location in the pretty hamlet of Angram. There are two pubs/restaurants within a mile, a shop in Muker (two miles away) and the lovely market town of Hawes is only six miles away.
Lovely Seat enjoys spectacular views – as featured on ITV’s Britain’s Favourite View! Enjoy peace, seclusion and tranquility – just the gentle sounds of sheep and birdsong. Breathe in the fresh, pure air and feel yourself unwind…
Relax in the cottage garden, five acre wildflower meadow with streams and bluebell dell, and small woodland. Patio furniture provided. Bring your binoculars – the wildlife is truly special here. We’ve had mistle thrushes, swallows, field sparrows and wrens nesting in the garden and you could also spot curlews, rabbits, hares, stoats and weasels. There are no streetlights here so the stars are truly dazzling…

Enjoy fantastic walking and cycling from the doorstep. There is secure storage on site for walking gear, cycles and motorcycles.
Pet-friendly – we welcome up to two medium sized well-behaved dogs at no extra charge.

There are places to eat out locally, with traditional Yorkshire country pubs and teashops. The lovely Reeth is just 10 miles down dale, and Hawes in Wensleydale is only 6 miles over the moor, with craft and antique shops, museum and Wensleydale Creamery. Great walking and cycling on the doorstep or just to simply relax and enjoy your surroundings!

Beautiful wild flower meadows and lazy summer evenings, sheep bleating and bird song, the only sounds you will hear! Rich Autumnal colours and crisp Winter days await, followed by the many Swaledale lambs gambolling in the Spring sunshine amid the cry of Curlews ​
