The ancient village of Bainbridge in the Yorkshire Dales National Park has a shop, restaurant, pub, garage, tearoom and a butcher.
It is great for fishing, walking and cycling. The cottage faces on to the expansive green and has a riverside garden with fishing rights.
It is perfect for family gatherings or walking groups. Traditionally furnished, it has a comfortable, cosy cottage feel to it.
Askrigg and the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn are nearby, as is Yorebridge House wedding venue.
On the opposite side of the river stands Brough Hill, where the remains of Virosidum Roman fort can be found.
It is ideally situated for fishing, walking and cycling. It has three good sized bedrooms.
Millside Room has a king sized bed, two easy chairs and TV / Netflix. Riverside Room has a king sized bed and a vanity unit with wash basin.
Greenside Room has a double bed and built in wardrobe.
There is also a single sized luxury fold away bed which can be moved to any room, and a travel cot.
There is a spacious family bathroom which has a vintage suite and electric shower over the bath. We have a downstairs toilet and cloakroom too.
The country style kitchen is open plan to the dining room, where you will find a large table that extends to seat 10 people.
In the living room we have a wood burning stove, a six seater corner sofa, a three seater sofa, a reclining rocking chair and a TV / Netflix.
The property has super-fast wireless internet throughout. It is perfect for family gatherings or groups.
The outside space has a terraced garden leading down to the river Bain, on which we have fishing rights.
There are outdoor tables and chairs, a fire pit and BBQ for al fresco dining, and a further small seating area at the front of the house overlooking the green.
There is a well equipped children's playground a short distance away which can be reached without crossing any roads.
Askrigg village and the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn are nearby. There is no dedicated parking space at the cottage but it is
usually possible for one car to park by the front door and there is free parking around the green.
We are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of outstanding beauty, and we are within easy driving distance of the Lake
District National Park, which adjoins The Dales.
